REPORT WRITING
A good report answers one question on page one and proves it on the pages after.
A five-part outline
1. Answer first
One paragraph: the question and the answer.
2. Method
Who you asked, how many, where and when.
3. Findings
Three to five key results with simple charts.
4. Meaning
What the findings mean for the decision.
5. Actions
What to do next, in order.
Tip
If a busy manager reads only page one, they should still know what to do.
